Plattner Orthopedic has been an established presence in the heart of
Peoria, Illinois for the past 19 years, first at 1100 Main
Street and now at our new location at 311 W. Romeo B. Garrett
Ave. Prior to our relocation to 1100 Main Street in 1986, we spent 40 years at 1216 E. McClure Avenue.
Our company was founded in 1946 by Robert R. Plattner, a certified orthotist who retired from active
patient care in 1988. He was succeeded as president of the firm by his son, Craig A. "Tony"
Plattner, CO, who has been president and CEO for the past 15 years.
Important new dimensions in the scope of our rehabilitation care occurred in 1992 with the addition
of a certified prosthetist, and in 1997 with the creation of Plattner Pedorthic Services. While we've been noted for orthotics for over
half a century, with the inclusion of complete design, fitting, and fabrication service for people
with limb loss, together with custom fitting and fabrication of orthopedic footwear, we are now
a comprehensive provider of orthopedic rehabilitation care.
